I love that when participants use the whiteboard tools that the moderator can see the participant’s name tagged to the action. I think if you add video it eats up too much bandwidth and creates a lag. I couldn’t see a simple way to paste images on the whiteboard, but I need more practice. I was very impressed by the fact that you can get many people on at the same time for free and even more impressed that you can record the sessions. It has great potential!

I use Wiziq to teach Advanced Placement history classes to home schoolers. I rely on the technology otherwise it would be old asynchronous classes which I think are passe’. I load in my power points, upload PDF and MS Word documents and away we go. My students can chat with me through audio or the chat window. My students can also view my ppts and pdf documents asynchronously outside of the Virtual Classroom. The power points work really well, with animation etcetera.
