Hi Meri,
I totally agree with you. In my opinion, an appealing philosophy and mission statement can out win the most sophisticated feature.
Wiziq is the virtual classroom for everyone.
I’ve only used WIZiQ a couple of times. I like the look, I like the audio more than Elluminate. I love that when participants use the whiteboard tools that the moderator can see the participant’s name tagged to the action. I think if you add video it eats up too much bandwidth and creates a lag. I couldn’t see a simple way to paste images on the whiteboard, but I need more practice. I was very impressed by the fact that you can get many people on at the same time for free and even more impressed that you can record the sessions. It has great potential!
Rob, you did an excellent job presenting your work on wiziq. I would be interested a follow up. When would you be available for another session?
I like the people, the features, the price and the philosophy of the founder! WiZiQ is a triple decker sandwich with a cherry on top!
Meri, I am looking forward to your presentation on wiziq on May 14, 2008.
Wiziq is the virtual classroom for everyone.
Mark,
Can you explain your experiences with wiziq?
Yes Nellie,
I use Wiziq to teach Advanced Placement history classes to home schoolers. I rely on the technology otherwise it would be old asynchronous classes which I think are passe’. I load in my power points, upload PDF and MS Word documents and away we go. My students can chat with me through audio or the chat window. My students can also view my ppts and pdf documents asynchronously outside of the Virtual Classroom. The power points work really well, with animation etcetera.
Mark
I love using the WiZiQ virtual classroom for individualized instruction.
